My travels started when I was young.
In the last 10 years, I've been to 10 countries, I've been to all the continents except South America and Antarctica. To some, to visit 10 countries seem a lot and to some, it's a small number. For me though, it's just the beginning.
Crossing the Botswana Border from South Africa when I was a child is a distant memory and I can't remember much but I remember the excitement, the uncertainty and mystery that awaited us. That weird moment when you're crossing the border and leaving everything behind that's familiar to you.
I'm fortunate enough to come from a family that is open to traveling and exploring. My parents used to take us all over South Africa as kids like Plettenberg Bay, Tsitsikamma, Hermanus, The Kruger National Park, quite a few family resorts in Limpopo, the Drakensberg and the list goes on.
My grandparents, on both sides, lived and worked abroad, uncles and aunts worked abroad. It's basicallyin our family to explore and it was only a matter of time before I got bit by the travel bug.

So, why a blog?
I think by now it's self explanatory, I hate it to get home after a trip and forgot most of the best moments I had during the trip. If it's something big like an amazing view on top of a mountain on Achill island in Ireland or something silly like trying to communicate with a Chinese waiter with hand gestures and broken Mandarin.
I'm not a guy that keeps a diary but I do have my camera with me at all times and so I decided to start a blog. Not only for me but for family and friends back home, it's sometimes difficult to explain all my experiences in one conversation and hopefully with my blog, it'll be easier to get an idea what's going on in my life.
I'm not a writer nor am I English but I live my life differently than most people I know.
Hope you enjoy reading my posts as much as I enjoy writing them.

What to expect?
Well, as you probably know, I'm a photographer and most of my work surrounds photography.
I'm mainly going to write about travelling, personal experiences and photography.
Since I'm currently in China for at least another year I am going to write a lot about China and Asian cultures.
I'm aiming to post weekly so check this space!
